I am happiest when I am creating. Whether it be making something I can't find in stores or it be planning out my Halloween costume a year in advance. When I get in that zone, it doesn't feel like work. It feels natural and like I was meant to be doing this. I'm not distracted by other things because creating is the most interesting thing for me to be focusing on.

I am a passionately curious, conceptual, and creative thinker who loves using emerging technology to solve human challenges. Especially the ones that people say can't be solved.

Give me an envelope and I'll push it. An idea and I'll prototype it. A problem and I'll solve it. I'll draw inside the lines as long as I have the freedom to draw outside of them when necessary.

I've started a company. I've worked for another's start-up. And I've just worked. I work as hard as I play, and prefer when the two become one. Keeping an eye on the future I embrace life one day at a time.

I am an experience designer. I love people but most of all I love creating work that is functional first then beautiful rather than beautifully functional.

Max hails from Boston with an undergrad degree in Art Direction from Syracuse University. While interning at Modernista! this past summer, he got to first hand experience and fall in love with deep immersive advertising while working on an Alternate Reality Gaming experience for the show Dexter. He brings his design background, random fact knowledge base and bizarre left brain thinking into any project to create things that straddle the line between usefulness and entertainment.

I was born at the tender age of zero and spent my early years dreaming of the future. Lazy, really, to sleep when I'd not done much in life. I cut my creative teeth developing work for architects, musicians, and filmmakers. Studying at the VCU Brandcenter forced me to focus less on how technology products are made, and concentrate instead on what technology products will do for people.

I am a different kind of ad animal, standing in the crux between strategy and creative, bridging a communications gap between the two and pushing the boundaries of each. I stay on the pulse of emerging technologies and find meaningful and engaging ways to inject them into campaigns. I believe that both the consumer and the brand should win, every time.

To me, being a CT means I get to spend all of my time taking on the world of interactive branding. At the Brandcenter, I've learned that doing that well requires a lot of complexity management, as well as the ability to convey a simple idea in the midst of that complexity. My favorite campaigns are ones that use unexpected touch points to create a unique and meaningful experience for the user. As a technologist, I'm always thinking about where opportunities to create those unexpected touch points exist.

Over the past two years, I've worked on projects for Crayola, Coca-Cola, British Airways, Pandora, REI, Capital One, Hostess, NBC Universal, and others. In the process, I've built a working knowledge of digital and experiential strategy, emerging platforms, user experience, information architecture, development, and design. When I graduate, I hope to take what I've learned, and start really getting my hands dirty bringing big ideas to life.

I love interactive design, OOH, and nontraditional. I have lived in South Korea, Italy, and four different states. Having moved this much makes me very confident when entering new environments and situations. The first day of school was always the most anxiety-producing, but as I grew up it became exciting. I love telling stories and I love hearing new stories. I use my passed experiences to assist me in creating brand experiences. For example, I apply the first day of school experiences to joining a new creative team. Everyone is looking at you to see what you will do, but you should not be nervous because they want to see and hear something new and different. Just make sure it is smart.

I enjoy experience design and creating awesome interactive work.

I've lived in and visited many countries around the world, and I have always had a healthy love of video games and anything that allowed me to explore and give form to the depths of imagination. I like to incorporate all the best elements from my experiences into my work, so that others may share in the way I see the world.

No, seriously. I hate the internet. 98% of our "digital life" blows. I love real life. I love people. I love taking all of that real life and connecting it to digital life in ways that make people comfortable, that make people laugh, that make people's real lives a little better off. That's the 2% of digital life that I love.

I've been obsessed with technology since disassembling my first 486. I loved that computer. Every piece of work I make today I hold to the standard of that 486. Is it simple? Is it beautiful? Is it useful? Do I want to show it off to friends? If you're in need of the services of a conceptual thinker with a lust for technology, I'd love to talk with you.

I've done work for Microsoft, Royal Caribbean, Bloomberg and Schick. I believe that branding can affect positive change in the world, and I treat every creative brief as an opportunity to invent. Cylons are my endgame.
